4 Skincare
essential tips  for
 spring and summer

When we think of spring we think about blooming flowers, sunshine, and  spring cleaning but not really about skin right ? Transitioning from winter skin to spring involves adjusting your skincare routine to cater to the changing climate.

Oily skin may become more oily due to increased humidity and heat.

Dry skin occurs when the skin loses too much moisture or oil. It can feel tight, itchy, and irritated. To help alleviate dry skin, try using a cleanser that Doesn’t strip your skin.

Dry skin may lead to acne if you aren't using the right skincare routine

You should use a facial cleanser that isn’t too alkaline – that’s a pH that’s much higher than the 5.5 of the skin.  When the pH is too alkaline, it strips the skin and throws it off balance and microflora can’t survive there. When the lipid barrier is compromised some skin products may arise.

However, spring / summer months tend to be drier and warmer. It's always a good idea to check the forecast for the specific area you'll be visiting to make sure you're prepared for any weather conditions.

Here are 4 tips to get your skin refresh glowing and ready for spring.

  1. SPF : Spring and summer means more sunlight, UVB rays only get stronger heading into spring and summer. Overexposure to UV rays is harmful to not only skin, but your overall health, and can age you faster than anything else!so make sure you use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to prevent sun damage and premature aging.
  2.  Antioxidants : Antioxidants like Vitamin C, Licorice Root can help protect your skin against environmental damage, including pollution and UV rays. Consider using a serum or moisturizer containing antioxidants to give your skin extra protection. Avoid melanin production and hyperpigmentation.
  3. Evaluate your skincare routine: As the weather changes, it's a good idea to adjust your skincare routine to suit your skin's needs. For instance, if your skin tends to get oilier in the spring, consider using lighter, oil-free products to avoid clogging your pores. if you have oily skin, you don’t want to skip this step. Moisture is vital for youthful, healthy skin. If you have dry skin try a gentle non drying cleanser oil cleansers are my favorite for dry skin.
  4. Professional Facials : facial treatments are a must  they maintain your skin youthfulness. In spa exfoliating facials is  like going to the dentist to  get a deep cleaning. Professional grade exfoliants help exfoliate deeper. Spring  hydrating facials  combat dryness from the changing weather, and brightening facials help even out skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation.

What a nice way to refresh and renew your skin. Happy Glowing.
